I'm a single male. It isn't easy. Basically, I'm a virgin, except for some experimental homosexual touching with other boys my age in my early teens. I've always wanted to heterosexually marry a woman, but I've gotten the "Let's just be friends" line so many times that I'm becoming more content with singlehood. The only problem is, for religious and personal reasons, I'm celibate till marriage. I don't want kids, so, at least, the celibacy has helped. Christianity today has trouble with honesty, and honestly I'm a single Christian who copes with my sexual needs by masturbating to pornography. That's my spiritual battlefield. How's that for honesty? Did you even realize that single Christians still have sexual needs? To deny it is sin, because God is the God of Truth.

I don't want to be sexually intimate with someone without emotional intimacy, simply because I know my emotional limits. Being denied the prospect of emotional intimacy with someone is painful enough; I know from experience, many times over. Therefore, I'd rather not experience being denied sexual intimacy after already having had it with someone. I'll wait till marriage. I once told a girl I didn't even believe in French kissing until marriage. She responded, "Wow! You're going to be a nymphomaniac!" I said, "You bet ya' honey!" If someone wants to be physically sexual with me, she has a simple solution. She can ask me to marry her. And I'm one who believes in short engagements, preferably a day or so, because if I agree to her proposal, I'm taking her to the justice of the peace right away, before she has a chance to change her mind.

And if I don't accept her marriage proposal, maybe it's just my turn to say, "Let's just be friends." Revenge is sweet ;-)

This is a self-portrait (with the aid of a ghost photographer) combined with two of my poems, summing up my views on nudity. I included the poem, "MATTER IS NOT EVIL," in conjunction with the spontaneous erection I had while the picture was being taken, because I am so tired of the hypocrisy of so many nudists who preach body acceptance yet condemn innocent erections. The erection is often involuntary and happens at the time of its own choosing, whether the owner likes it or not. My message to my fellow nudists is spontaneous erections are not behaviour; they are a fact of life. In a nudist setting, having an erection is not bad behaviour; playing with it is. If an involuntary erection appears, do not shame the innocent by telling him to cover his hard penis with a towel or take a dip in the water to hide the offensive member; unless you want to take back your "body acceptance" mantra and join the mainstream world who finds human skin, which God created, to be offensive.

Below is a response I wrote to someone who complimented me on "MATTER-ENERGY CONVERSION." It may repeat some points made in my essay above, but it also makes new points:

Thanks for the compliment on "MATTER-ENERGY CONVERSION." The "NAKED AND SACRED" poem is my general view on nudity. I thought the "MATTER IS NOT EVIL" poem would also fit, especially in the lower half of the picture, in which I had a spontaneous erection. In nudism, erections are not the norm, but they still happen; if they never happened, the man would need to see a doctor. It's a medical fact that even fetuses in the womb get erections. Many erections occur while men sleep and are totally unaware of them. They are a natural and necessary part of life, throughout life; and I think when the so-called "body acceptance" world of nudism shames men for having spontaneous erections, it is like shaming women for having menstrual cycles. It is also like the clothing-obsessed world shaming nudists for wanting to be nude. Perhaps all the erectile dysfunction out there is a symptom of being ashamed of a natural and necessary bodily function; most erections are spontaneous and are necessary to penile health. An erection is not bad behaviour. An erection is not behaviour at all, any more than breathing is. Of course, you can engage in bad behaviour with an erection, but you can also engage in bad behaviour with alchohol. Banning alchohol was tried with Prohibition, but it failed miserably because alchohol was never the problem. The problem was the human abuses of it; a.k.a. behaviour. Likewise, erections should not be an issue in the body acceptance culture of nudism or any other culture, for that matter. Erections are a natural and God-designed part of life, and are often totally involuntary, like the beating of the heart and expansion of the lungs. All of God's creations are good. Only their misuse is a problem.

Many people probably think I am a walking oxymoron when I call myself a Nudist Christian. I get in trouble in Christian circles because I am a Nudist; and I get in trouble in Nudist circles because I do NOT need Viagra.

I think nudist culture is hypocritical when it chants the mantra, "BODY ACCEPTANCE," over and over again, and then tells a man to cover up that hideous erection. In my view, erections should not need to be hidden. Erections are not behaviour. They simply happen, often spontaneously. Of course, you can engage in bad behaviour with an erection, but you can also engage in bad behaviour while breathing, but we don't ban breathing. There is a difference between simply "having" an erection and "playing with" an erection. Simply "having" an erection should be a non-issue in nudist culture, unless we want to take back our "BODY ACCEPTANCE" mantra, and tell a man who obviously doesn't need Viagra, "Put that hideous thing away!" Erections are NOT a threat.

Instead of calling it, "CONTENTMENT," I was going to title it, "GETTING OLD," but then I realized the look on my face is one of contentment! "What you say?" Yes, that is my perfectly content look. Years ago, Mom saw me watching TV, and I had this same look on my face. She said, "It looks like you lost your best friend." But, I was perfectly happy, watching a favourite show, probably "STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION."

I think there's a difference between fantasy and lust. Lust is just fantasy in overdrive and out of control. Sexual attraction was designed by God. Having a sexual imagination is not sin. Letting it consume you is. You cannot control what other people think of you, and you will never please everyone. I'm a Nudist Christian. I'm sure some Christians have a problem with my nudity. And I know some nudists have a problem with my boner. But I don't hide erections in my art or my life, because they are part of God's creation. Also it's partly my response to the nudist hypocrisy that preaches body acceptance, but at the same time says, hide that hideous thing with your towel. No wonder Viagra is making a killing. Then, he pointed out the CROSS formed by the intersection of one railing and the vertical bar of another railing. I thought that was cool that he pointed that out, because I'm not even sure I saw it before that :-)

This is my night-time long exposure, taken of residential lighting on the horizon, moving the camera side to side, moving it up and down, plus a little bit of random spinning. Then I turned the finished photo 90 degrees. Usually, you see this kind of time exposure with car lights. However, this one is mostly house lights and, maybe some street lights, on the horizon. Just call me a whirling dervish! ;-) Twist and shout! When I saw the image on my digital camera's view screen, the cross jumped right out at me, and I couldn't wait to get home to Photoshop the image! Weeee!

Combining my 1994 nude self-portrait from black & white photography class at Valparaiso University ( http://www.valpo.edu ) with a poem of the same title that I wrote ten years later, in 2004, is an interesting take on my views on "SOLITUDE" at the beginning and end of a decade.

I did this and a series of other photos of myself naked for the aforementioned university photography class. I remember my professor asking the class if they saw any religious significance in my image. Well, bit.ly/GuelphSchoolOfArt just called, and cancelled my nude modelling session because their original model was feeling better and coming in after all. I'm not disappointed. I'm happy that I got the call, and the School said they'll call me back in the future if they need me, and they'll give me more than just one day's notice, like they did yesterday. Honestly, I'm a bit relieved they cancelled. But I look forward to trying it out if they call again in the future. Generally, though, I think I'll stick with retirement from the work world. I like it. :-) I've been retired since age 36, in 2004; when I went on federal and provincial Disability pensions for my Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). The OCD kept killing my jobs, so I decided to stop torturing myself. My bosses were always thrilled with the amazing quality of my work, but rather miffed at the paltry quantity. With the OCD, it generally takes me three times longer (than a normal person) for me to do everything.

Even though the mirror is a flat plane, it still paradoxically has depth. You can prove this by using low depth of field with a manual focus camera. You can actually focus on various sections of the reflection, even though it's actually a flat surface.

Besides my labelling, there have been no alterations to my nude self-portrait "REFLECTIONS." It's exactly what the camera saw. I believe I used two full-length mirrors since the mirror frames on the left and the right are not parallel. In other words, I think BOTH front and back versions of me are reflections. However, if I'm wrong, perhaps the "mirror frame" on the right of the image is just a door jam. But I don't think that's the case. I am pretty sure that I used the two full-length mirrors, just to make the image more complex and confusing. I like the facts that "you do not know where the light is coming from" and "you do not quite know what is reflection and what is reality or if both front and back views are separate reflections."

My nude self-portrait "NAKED PHOTONS" photographic print was scanned using 256 colours instead of millions. I like the effect, creating bands of light within light.

In the images above, the fact that the nudes are actually reflections is apparent (with the mirror frames showing within the photos). However, despite how well-known the nude self-portrait (below) is, this may be the first time I've revealed that this entire nude was taken in the mirror. So, that is not really my penis, but a reflection of it ;-)

As most of my guests have experienced, my home is my naked paradise whether or not they stay clothed. I have worn clothes in the past for a select few of my best friends, but no more. My home is my nudist oasis, and I will be naked. My guests may remain clothed, although nudity is preferred. And unlike nudist resorts that frown upon erections, I say boners are beautiful and need not be hidden. My home, my rules.

I could move into a nudist resort, making this blog post unnecessary. However, I'm happy where I'm living now, and I'm not going to uproot my life in order to live my life. My life is naked. Case closed.

Of course, I'll still wear clothes outside of my home, unless I'm at a nudist event or in a nudist environment.

Dear Earthlings,

Being the son of a pastor, I've moved around quite a bit, having lived all over Canada and the U.S. However, I am now happily and permanently settled back in the province of Ontario, Canada. Really, I never plan to leave the province's borders. There's enough in Ontario for a lifetime. Any further travels will be by way of DVD ;-)

I'm the only nudist in my family (that I know of). I think God threw me in the mix to make the family more interesting. Not that it was boring before. It's a great family, and I wouldn't trade it for any other.

The province of Ontario allows topfreedom for women wherever it's legal for men. Outside of nudist environments and events, though, I've never seen a topfree female in public. I thought I did once, and was really excited, until she got closer, and I noticed she was just wearing a flesh-coloured top ;-)

There are lots of nudist environments and events, though, in southern Ontario, where I am. Not in my city of Guelph, but there are plenty nearby.

I've been to three of the nudist resorts within an hour of Toronto.

I was a member of http://TheFourSeasons.com for a couple of years but cancelled my membership because I didn't go enough to make it worth it, and I couldn't afford it. It is the closest to me and basically a straight line when driving to it, but I don't drive.

I felt the most welcome and the most comfortable at http://PonderosaResort.ca

I also occasionally attend organized nudist swims at indoor public pools in the Greater Toronto Area. I do this with Sandy's group http://nnbares.fcn.ca and with http://orbToronto.org

Generally, though, I'm don't get out very often to nudist events or environments. I'm on Disability pensions for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. With the OCD, I have a hard enough time leaving my apartment, let alone leaving my city. So, I'm mostly a home nudist, although I share my nude self-portraits (from mild to wild) on my http://NudeCreations.com website. And I spend my whole life naked. Except for going out once a day for about 3 hours, I'm home naked 21/7. My home "is" my nudist resort, so I remain naked, whether or not my guests are. My home is my nudist sanctuary. My home; my rules.

My graphicpoem "DANCE WITH CHAOS" includes one of my first nude self-portraits. I started doing them in 1994, as part of Black & White Photography class, during my art major at Valparaiso University, Valparaiso, Indiana. I graduated from VU, with my Bachelor of Arts, in December 1995. My major was ART (with a GRAPHIC DESIGN concentration). My individualized minor was THEATRE AND DANCE. Naturally, all this led to several janitorial jobs ;-)

I've been retired, since 2004, on Disability pensions for my Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. My OCD kept losing me jobs, and I decided to stop torturing myself. I love my life.

This is my nudist friend, Sandy, from Ontario Roaming Bares (Toronto Chapter) {orbToronto.org}. I took the two photos, above, at the ORB Toronto 2003 Christmas party at a member family's home. Sandy is a gem. After these pictures were taken, she gave a live donation of part of her liver to her friend, Ellen, who needed the transplant to live. Now Sandy wears a large scar on her abdomen, a reminder to all of us what true friendship is. Since I took the above photos prior to her surgery, Sandy said, "I guess these will be my BEFORE pictures." By her kind permission, below are two of her own AFTER pictures, the topfree photo showing her scar:

Sandy gave Ellen a couple of extra years of life and friendship. Unfortunately, Ellen passed away in May 2006.

When I was an art major at Valparaiso University (http://www.valpo.edu), I remember falling in love with Edward Weston's photography of Charis Wilson, his nude model, muse, and wife! The photographic partnership began in the Great Depression era. Even then, without knowing that much, I felt as though I knew her through his lens, and I fell in love. Now I've seen the http://EloquentNude.org documentary and know her even better. The documentary even includes 2007 interviews with the 90-year-old Charis Wilson. I highly recommend the http://EloquentNude.org documentary. I saw it on TV, and I will be buying my own copy of the DVD!

This is a nude self-portrait. Instead of tripod and timer, I used filing cabinet and timer ;-)

For my nude self-portraits, sometimes I use tripod and timer, and other times I use volunteer, uncredited ghost photographers to make the shots easier. Then I pick the best shots and spend time Photoshopping the best. With my writings ( http://TadCreations.com ) I pretty much share everything eventually. With my photography, I'm a lot more selective, because I spend a lot more time editing each image with cropping and with my various ownership labels. I wouldn't waste my time editing something I wasn't happy with. Like I said, with my writing, I share everything, because I've sometimes had people tell me they really like a particular poem, which amazes me, because I wasn't all that confident in it. So, after the postitive feedback, my opinion on my own work often changes. With photos, I'm often more selective, not putting everything out there, because photos take up a lot more computer memory than poems.

Hmmm. I just thought, if no one reads this, perhaps the photo above is an illustration of this "IMAGINARY CONVERSATION" ;-)

It's not that often I get to see my own bum in real life. As you've probably noticed, most of my photography focuses on my penis, personally my favourite of my body parts.

Tad's Note: Actually, I used a little digital trickery in this photo to make it look better. The flying bird was much smaller in the original image (in other words, it was a lot further away from the camera than it appears). This web version of the photo is a lot lower resolution than the original image. What I did was I went to the full original (bigger) image and selected only the bird from the image, copied and pasted the large version of the bird into the low resolution (smaller) web version of the photo. I placed the bird exactly where it already was in the original image. The only difference is, through my graphic design skills, the bird has been magnified. Fun with pixels! I love tweaking images! I studied graphic design in university.

Erections are a normal part of life, and not always sexual. They are often spontaneous, and most occur in a man's sleep when he is totally unaware. It is a medical fact that even fetuses, in the womb, get erections, so I find this society's and even nudist environments' prejudice against erections to be quite mystifying. In nudism, erections are rare, because it is a non-sexual atmosphere. However, in my opinion, a man should not be afraid if he gets an involuntary erection. After all, the nudist mantra is "body acceptance." Yet the nudist insistance on taking a dip in the pool or covering one's penis with a towel when an erection develops is the height of hypocrisy. Where's the so-called "body acceptance"? In and of themselves, erections are of no moral consequence. Just having an erection is not behaviour any more than breathing is behaviour. In many North American jurisdictions, it is illegal for "human male genitals..." to be "...in a discernibly turgid state, even if completely and opaquely covered." That's right; in Western culture, even when fully dressed, if you get a boner you can be arrested. With all the fear erections bring up, it's no wonder the pharmaceutical industry is making a fortune on medicines to treat Erectile Dysfunction.

Note on "AWAKENING (Self-Portrait)": As I've said, erections are often spontaneous, many occuring during sleep. This picture depicts how my erection often wakes me up in the morning. It doesn't have to lead to anything sexual. An erection is just a wonderful feeling, in and of itself, and is just one example of God's creative genius.

"PERFECT BREASTS"

This is such a peaceful picture of me enjoying my first visit to FOUR SEASONS NUDIST RESORT (TheFourSeasons.com), in Freelton, Ontario, Canada (between Guelph and Hamilton). I used to be a member. I chose it for its indoor pool and large club house. I'm generally an indoor nudist, since I burn faster than toast. There are two other major nudist resorts within an hour of Toronto. Sadly, Four Seasons is changing from "clothing-optional" to "clothing-required" as of May 1, 2011. Toronto, itself, even has an officially designated "clothing-optional" beach, Hanlan's Point, on Toronto Island.

I generally have a beard. About once a year I remove it, just for a change. However, it soon grows back and stays for about another year, because I quickly get tired of shaving.

Besides my labelling, there have been no alterations to this photo. It's exactly what the camera saw. I believe I used two full-length mirrors since the mirror frames on the left and the right are not parallel. In other words, I think BOTH front and back versions of me are reflections. However, if I'm wrong, perhaps the "mirror frame" on the right of the image is just a door jam. But I don't think that's the case. I am pretty sure that I used the two full-length mirrors, just to make the image more complex and confusing. I like the facts that "you do not know where the light is coming from" and "you do not quite know what is reflection and what is reality or if both front and back views are separate reflections."

and consider the fact that Isaiah obeyed God by streaking for three years. If the prophet refused to be naked in public, that would have been sin. Think about it. The human body is not evil; viewing God's greatest masterpiece with a sense of shame is. Viewing the body with shame was a result of the fall of man, and like Adam we cover ourselves and condemn our bodies which God made and pronounced "very good," using them as scapegoats for the true condition of our hearts. God would rather have us naked and honest than clothed and fake. Clothing is fine as a protection from the weather, but it is useless as a spiritual bandage. I used to want a nudist world, but I'm mostly an indoor nudist, because I burn faster than toast. Now my hope is for a world that is clothing optional. To quote myself, "The human skin is not a sin."

The first half of the video is the actual footage of my boner deflating. The second half is a simple reversing of video direction to simulate my penis going from semi-flaccid to erect. Deflation and inflation footage each take 2 min, 39.5 seconds. That's real time. At least that's real time for the deflation, since the inflation was a simple reversing of video direction.

I may, at some point, do a sped up "time lapse" edit of this video. If I do, I'll simply add it within this post, so you'll be able to watch the long and short versions in the same place. Don't hold your breath though. I am a Pr.D. (Doctor of Procrastination).

Eventually I'd like to do a filming from deflated flaccid to erect inflation that is "spontaneous and unaided", without having to do the reverse video direction trick. That's more of a challenge.
